NSW: The conditions on the NSW ski fields today
SYDNEY, Aug 3 AAP - Clear blue skies and fine weather predicted for today with a light
south westerly wind.
Thredbo: Light, dry cover on a firm base. Snowmaking has freshened up the lower Crackenback
Supertrail, lower Sundowner and Friday Flat and made for great top to bottom skiing and
snowboarding. Groomers picks for advanced skiers are Little Beauty or the Funnel Web.
Lifts: all open. Forecast: Mostly fine through to Sunday. Roads: open and clear to Jindabyne.
Charlotte Pass: Temp: Plenty of snow around for all standards to enjoy. Boarders should
take a hike to the summit of Mt Stillwell to make the most of fresh tracks. Lifts: all
operating. Forecast: Fine weather to continue until Friday.
Perisher Blue: Excellent visibility and a dry, hard-packed cover across the resort.
The groomed trails are best early in the day with off piste areas softening through the
morning: Lifts: 50 in total - 27 at Perisher, Smiggins 11, Blue Cow 8 and Guthega 4. Forecast:
Generally clear conditions with some high cloud for the next few days. Roads: open and
clear.
Selwyn: Temp: A variety of groomed terrain and top to bottom skiing and boarding on
an excellent cover of natural and man-made snow. Lifts: Up to 10. Township 1 is closed.
Forecast: Roads: open and clear.
