Qld: Outlaw motorcycle money not paid to police: Minister

Queensland Police Minister JUDY SPENCE has defended claims money from an outlaw motorcycle
group paid for police officers .. at a hot rod festival on the Sunshine Coast.

Ms SPENCE says officers did nothing wrong in attending the Caloundra Bike and Hot Rod
Show .. which is planned by the Caloundra Aussie Rules Football Club and the Bandidos
motorcycle gang.

She says payment was received from the football club .. not the motorcycle club ..

and it would have been irresponsible not to attend the event to ensure public safety.

Police commissioner BOB ATKINSON says the incident will be investigated .. but he believes
nothing untoward occurred.
